Overview:

Johnson Controls has signed a joint-venture agreement with Hitachi Appliances.
Pursuant to the transaction Johnson Controls obtained a 60% ownership stake in Hitachi Appliances’ global air conditioning business valued in excess of $2.6 billion with the remaining 40% held by Hitachi.
The joint venture has 14,000 employees and 24 design and manufacturing locations.
