Hulic ¥155 billion acquisition of Simplex Investment Advisors

• Hulic has acquired Simplex Investment Advisors for ¥155 billion from Aetos Capital Real Estate.
• The deal was undertaken in two steps with Hulic acquiring Simplex before selling it to a holding company established by Mizuho Trust & Banking.
• Simplex is a Japanese real estate investor and also the manager of Simplex REIT.
• Aetos acquired the company in 2007 in conjunction with Goldman Sachs.
