Overview:

  • China Investment Corporation (CIC) has acquired Logicor for €12.25 billion from Blackstone.
  • Logicor is a European warehouse firm set up by Blackstone in 2012 to manage its European logistics real estate portfolio. It manages 600 real estate assets across Europe, primarily in France, Germany, Southern Europe and the UK, totaling 13 million m2 of space.
  • Blackstone had intended to undertake an LSE IPO of Logicor before the sale commenced.
  • According to Dealogic the deal is the second largest European real estate acquisition ever and the fourth largest Chinese acquisition ever.
  • Eastdil Secured and Goldman Sachs advised Blackstone.
  • UBS advised CIC.
