Chuncheon 470MW combined heat and power plant

Overview:

• Chuncheon 470MW combined heat and power plant.
• The project is currently under construction at the East Chuncheon industrial complex in Gangwon-do.
• The 470MW + 120Gcal/h capacity project will begin commercial operation in May with completion in July 2017. Chuncheon Energy—the project owner—is an IPP jointly established by Korea East-West Power, POSCO Engineering & Construction, and Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction.
• Kookmin Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea and Samsung Life Insurance acted as co-arrangers in connection with arranging a debt facility for W513 billion ($454 million) for the project.
