Hunter Douglas £300 million acquisition of Hillarys

Overview:

• Hunter Douglas has acquired Hillarys for £300 million from Ares Capital Corporation.
• The acquirer is a  manufacturer of window coverings and architectural products with 50 manufacturing and 80 assembly operations in more than 100 countries, employing about 21,000 people.
• Hillarys is a UK blinds, curtains and carpets retailer with 1300 staff.
• The existing management team, led by CEO John Risman, will remain with the business.
