Focusses / specialisms

The banking team acts for lenders and borrowers in secured loans, loan facilities, refinancings, credit facilities and acquisition financing.

The capital markets team has experience with securitization, debt and equity related matters. The team deals with bond issuances and programs, ABS’s, CBFI’s and CKD issuances.

In the M&A practice area, the team advises private equity and strategic buyers and sellers in acquisition and investment related matters.

Infrastructure, energy and oil and gas are industries that the project development team sees a lot of work in and has developed expertise in. Many of its transactions are also PPP projects.

Research period review: 33rd edition (2022/2023)

During the research period the firm was active in banking, capital markets, M&A and projects.

The banking work involved cross-border acquisition financing, revolving credit facilities and syndicated loans.

The capital markets team represented underwriters, bondholders and issuers on CERPIs, high-yield bond issuances and other complex offerings. The firm’s activity was mostly domestic.

M&A work consisted of acquisitions of various holding companies, some of which were conducted via significant bidding processes. The firm also advised joint venture partners in investments.

In projects, the firm was active on the finance side as well as in PPPs. A few of the projects were for the waste management sector and others were transport infrastructure related.

In January of 2023, capital markets partner Héctor Arangua L departed the firm. José Humberto Rocha of the M&A practice also departed and joined RS Law in January.
