Following on from William Fry's recent new partner appointments, the Firm is delighted to announce the promotion of several key individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and expertise in their respective fields.
Consultants:
William Fry is pleased to announce the promotion of three new consultants.
- Lucy McCurry is a Consultant in William Frys Corporate/M&A department. She advises on corporate advisory matters, mergers and acquisitions, investment transactions and shareholders' agreements. She also advises venture funds on investments in technology companies and business founders seeking to raise venture funding. Lucy's recent caseload has also included a number of clients and transactions in the food and agri-business sectors.
- Jenny Martin is a Consultant in William Frys Employment & Benefits. Jenny advises employers in relation to all aspects of employment law, equality law, employee relations and industrial relations. She also has significant experience of reviewing and drafting employment related contracts and policies. She carries out work for a large number of public sector and private sector organisations and has assisted with all of their employment law issues, both contentious and non-contentious. Jenny regularly appears in cases for clients before all the Employment Law forums and civil courts in Ireland. Jenny tutors on the Law Society of Ireland’s Post-Graduate Diploma in Employment Law.
- Ben Conway is a Consultant in William Frys Employment & Benefits team. Ben has shown exceptional skill in handling employment-related matters, including benefits administration and employee relations. Ben focuses on the commercial and corporate aspects of employment law, including due diligence for acquisitions, reorganisations, and outsourcing arrangements. He reviews and drafts employment provisions in commercial agreements, advises on employment-related liabilities, and the transfer of undertakings legislation. Ben has significant experience in employment litigation, having represented respondents in employment tribunal claims, including government departments and utilities service providers. Before joining William Fry's Dublin office in April 2019, Ben practiced law in the UK, advising on the employment aspects of government-owned companies and IT outsourcing agreements.
Managing Associates:
In addition to the new consultants, William Fry is proud to announce the promotion of four new Managing Associates.
- Adele Hall is a Managing Associate in William Frys Litigation & Investigations department. Adele manages high-stakes litigation and complex investigations. Adele has advised large multinational clients on commercial disputes, financial regulation, regulatory investigations, and defamation claims. She focuses on contentious regulatory matters, advising institutions, directors, and senior managers on compliance. Adele also provides strategic advice across various sectors, with a keen interest in regulated industries. She has completed a 6-month secondment with an Irish State regulator and continues to be a key advisor on regulatory functions. Additionally, Adele has experience in medical negligence, advising the world’s largest medical indemnifier on litigation, inquests, dispute resolution, and regulation.
- Alice O'Connor is a Managing Associate in William Frys Litigation & Investigations department. Alice has effectively managed complex legal disputes and offered valuable advice to our clients. Alice holds an Honours Law Degree (BCL) and a Masters in Law (LLM) from University College Cork.
- Paula Deasy is a Managing Associate in William Frys Property team. She specialises in tenant retail leasing, advising Irish, UK, and international brands on agreements for lease, new leases, renewals, and general estate management. Paula also handles property acquisitions, sales, large-scale lettings, and asset portfolio management across sectors including commercial, retail, and energy/utilities. Working closely with other specialist units within the firm, Paula provides coordinated legal advice on construction, tax, finance, and corporate transactions. Paula is an active member of the William Fry Energy, Renewables, and Utilities practice group.
- Stephen Ryan is a Managing Associate in William Frys Property team. Stephen has extensive experience advising on all aspects of property law with an emphasis on commercial property acquisitions, disposals and property based lending. Stephen has also acted for a number of institutional landlords and tenants on various large- and small-scale lettings throughout Ireland. Stephen's solutions focused approach to his work and emphasis on clear communication with his clients has resulted in the development of strong relationships with his client base.
