PRESS RELEASE, Vienna, 10 March 2016 - Binder Grösswang has won “The Lawyer European Award 2016“ for Austria.

The award-giving ceremony was held in London yesterday, on 9 March 2016.

Every year, the renowned British journal The Lawyer honours the best law firms in various European countries. Binder Grösswang was dubbed “Law Firm of the Year: Austria” 2016. Binder Grösswang partner Emanuel Welten accepted the international award on behalf of the law firm at the “The Lawyer European Award Ceremony” in London yesterday.
The criteria assessed were “Strategic vision, particularly focused on cross-border initiatives”, “Robust partnership culture”, “Strong financial performance and growth”, “Consistent excellence in delivery of legal services” and “Outstanding talent management”.

The judges selecting the prize winners are prominent international lawyers and in-house counsels; they commended Binder Grösswang for their advisory activities in numerous complex cross-border transactions of the past year, the excellent international network the law firm is part of, the employee satisfaction and its corporate social responsibility programme.

Managing Partners Michael Kutschera and Thomas Schirmer are delighted: “This prestigious award shows that we use best practices at an international level and it confirms that we are on the right track: On the one hand, we bank on a high degree of specialisation, with a particular focus on complex transactions. On the other hand, ensuring a good working climate in our firm is very important to us. It is a challenging task to do so as structures grow ever bigger, so we are especially happy to see our efforts bear fruit as they are rewarded by such a highly reputed award in an international environment.”

This occasion marks the second time that Binder Grösswang is awarded “The Lawyer European Award”.
