Spanish firm Pérez-Llorca has announced the recruitment of three new partners to its corporate team.

The trio join the independent firm from highly rated rival Cuatrecasas in what is a significant move for the market.

Javier CarvajalPedro Fernández and Alfredo Lafita all make the switch. All three have extensive experience in M&A, corporate restructuring and capital markets, as well as expertise in private equity transactions.

The move should be a major boost to the corporate team, who already sit in Tier 2 in the IFLR1000's most recent Spanish M&A rankings

A highlight transaction for Carvajal in December 2015 saw him take the lead as Cuatrecasas advised Spanish energy company Eolia through its sale to Oaktree Capital

Further to this, Ander Valverde was also promoted to the partnership within the banking and finance department and there was a further appointment for the litigation and arbitration department.
