Norton Rose Fulbright has recruited a new banking and finance expert in Jakarta to add to its associate office Susandarini & Partners.

Nadia Soraya joins the firm from White & Case’s Indonesian associate firm, MD & Partners, where she focused on energy and natural resources.

Wayne Spanner, Norton Rose Fulbright’s managing partner in Australia, said: “Her work for large banks and in the oil and gas, power and mining industries will make a fantastic addition to our capabilities in Indonesia and the broader Asia-Pacific region.”

Soraya’s practice includes project finance and mergers and acquisitions with a focus in the power and natural resources sectors.

Her appointment closely follows the hire of Jakarta-based corporate partner Benny Bernarto earlier in April.
