Falcon Plastics acquired Avid International Molding Solutions’ manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico, marking a significant milestone in Falcon’s ongoing growth and customer support strategy.
This transaction forms part of a broader cross-border acquisition that also includes the assets located in Minnesota, United States, belonging to the holding company of the same group, Avid International Molding Solutions.
SMPS Legal advised Falcon Plastics in this cross-border M&A. The firm’s legal team has been involved in the due diligence process, the design of the acquisition structure, and the coordination of local legal requirements to ensure a seamless transfer of ownership and regulatory compliance in both jurisdictions.
This expansion enhances Falcon’s ability to serve its customers across North America by adding 47 injection molding machines, a skilled and experienced technical team, and advanced assembly capabilities. The Monterrey facility brings deep engineering expertise, quality and metrology capabilities, and a strong reputation for precision and partnership — all of which align closely with Falcon’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence.
Avid International’s Monterrey operation brings a proven 20-year history of technical rigor, full contract manufacturing, and expertise in import/export logistics. These strengths complement Falcon’s existing capabilities in injection and blow molding and two-shot molding, supported by a 50-year legacy of innovation, financial strength, and a people-first culture.
