SMPS Legal advised Bocel on the first capital call to the holders of its Certificado de Capital de Desarrollo (CKD) under ticker (BOCELCK 20), placed in August 2020, pursuant to which a subsequent issuance of MXN$229,800,000.00 (approximately US$11.4 million), was made on May 9th, 2022.
Since the initial placement of the CKD and with the proceeds of the first capital call, Bocel raised MXN$604,800,000.00 (approximately US$30,240,000.00), of the MXN$1,875,000,000.00 (approximately US$94.0 million), that the CKD may raise during its term, as required by its own investment needs. The funds raised will be used, among other things, for the long-term financing of various projects of the companies in Bocel's portfolio.
The private equity firm was founded in 2019 and specializes in accelerating value and providing growth capital to small and mid-sized companies worth between US$15.0 million to US$150.0 million from different sectors and seeking international growth.
