McDermott Will & Emery has added a new acquisition finance partner in London with a hire from CMS Cameron McKenna.

Peter Crichton joins the corporate and transactional practice group at the US firm. He specialises in syndicated, leveraged and structured finance.

Recent work highlights include advising Alcentra, CVC and Highbridge on the financing of Palamon’s £200 million acquisition of Currencies Direct; work for Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds and RBS on senior debt facilities provided to Telecity Group; and work for Montagu Private Equity on the financing of the £200 million MBO of Cory Environmental.

The move comes at the same time as the merger of CMS Cameron McKenna, Nabarro and Olswang.

The move is also McDermott's second London hire in less than a month after the firm added restructuring partner Alan Gar to its ranks in late April from Simmons & Simmons.
