Hogan Lovells has strengthened its corporate practice in Hong Kong with the hire of partner Steven Tran from Kirkland & Ellis.

Tran is an expert in private equity and M&A across a range of sectors and is experienced in Hong Kong transactions and cross-border transactions across Asia-Pacific. His clientele includes private equity houses, funds and corporates.

Hogan Lovells' global corporate practice head David Gibbons said: "We regularly advise on the most significant, complex, and sophisticated global M&A transactions, and an increased presence in the core Asia market is key to winning and executing these mandates. I am delighted to welcome Steven to the team to help us to grow our business in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond."

Tran’s arrival follows that of TMT partner Mark Parsons from Freshfields in January this year. Earlier this week Hogan Lovells lost restructuring partners Neil McDonald and Damien Coles to Kirkland & Ellis.
