Yuan’s practice is focussed on cross-border M&A. His core services include representing multinational corporations and private equity firms in the sales of their entire greater China businesses; representing multinational companies in acquisitions of equity interests or assets of Chinese companies; the establishment of Sino-foreign joint ventures in China; and advising Chinese companies' on their overseas asset and share acquisitions in the United States and Europe.
Yuan practiced law at Jones Day for more than 18 years before joining Han Kun Law Offices, often representing multinational companies in acquisitions and investments in China and China-based clients in acquisitions and investments overseas.
