Gibson Dunn & Crutcher and Morrison & Foerster (MoFo) have both hired new partners from Proskaur Rose.

James Howe joins Gibson Dunn and focuses on M&A and private equity and had previously been a partner at Kirkland & Ellis.

His recent deal activity includes advising on Bruin Sports Capital’s acquisition of Deltatre and Carlyle Group’s £600 million acquisition of 51% of PA Consulting Group.

Oliver Rochman joins MoFo. He focuses on private investment funds and had joined Proskauer from legacy SJ Berwin.

Proskauer itself had been strengthening in recent months hiring private equity lawyer Eleanor Shanks from Dentons and banking partner Ben Davis from Reed Smith.
