Two prominent firms in Ukraine have merged to create the largest firm in the country by number of partners.

The Kiev office of Russian firm Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners has merged with Ukrainian firm Asters last month. The firm will operate under the domestic firm's brand.

A three partner committee consisting of Oleksiy Didkovskiy, Armen Khachaturyan and Serhii Sviriba, who had earlier been the managing partner of Egorov Puginsky's Kiev branch, will jointly lead the firm.

The firm is based in Kiev and has a satellite office in Washington DC. It has a legal staff of 26 partners and 140 lawyers.
