The Government of Canada has announced its intentions to acquire TMEP for C$4.5 billion. The project is being sold by Kinder Morgan.

KKR is set to take over BMC Software in an $8.3 billion deal. The deal will be the largest firm buyout since the financial crisis. In another announced acquisition - WellCare Health Plans aims to acquire Meridian Health Plans of Michigan and Illinois for $2.5 billion. The deal is aligned to the government-sponsored health plans.

Asia-Pacific

In Singapore, DBS Trustee has undertaken a $1 billion multicurrency debt issuance programme.

Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Moving on to Russia, Gazprom has undertaken a $20 billion gas plant construction project with RusGasDobycha. The facility will have a capacity of 45 billion cubic metres per year.

Piraeus Bank has reached an agreement to sale an NPL portfolio of secured, non-performing business loans to Bain Capital Credit for €1.45 billion. The deal is part of the bank’s debt reducing programme.
