DLA Piper has boosted its Singapore practice with the hire of a new project finance partner.

Vincent Seah joins the firm from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he worked as counsel, specialising as a project finance lawyer in energy, natural resources and construction.

He is especially familiar with the development and financing of power projects in Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos and Mongolia; and has advised on significant projects such as the 2017 development and financing of the 1000MW Central java IPP in Indonesia.

Between his two stints at Freshfields, Seah has also worked as an associate at Shearman & Sterling and Allen & Gledhill in Singapore. He is the second project finance hire for DLA Piper this year as Philip Lee joined the firm from Herbert Smith Freehills this January.
