Arnold & Porter has enhanced its London financial service regulatory practice with a new partner hire.

Tim Aron joins the firm from Katten Muchin Rosenman where he had been since 2012. He also spent five years at what was the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) where he had been part of the markets, banking and enforcement and financial crimes divisions.

He advises financial services firms, clearing houses and trading platforms on all regulatory matters including advice on derivatives and securities issues, restructuring and M&A regulatory.

Aron also has industry links having acted as a legal advisor to the UK Listing Authority and the UK Competition Commission.
