Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has has added further Bingham McCutchen partners to its London, Hong Kong and Frankfurt teams following the headline departures of James Roome and Barry Russell last week.

The latest partners to make the move include corporate partners Vance Chapman (London) and Matthew Puhar (Hong Kong) and London funds partners (and IFLR1000 Leading lawyers) John Holton and Thiha Tun.

In London the majority of Bingham's UK partnership has now left the firm, though a small group of partners is yet to declare its intentions.

The mass defection is believed to be a pre-emptive one ahead of Bingham's potential merger with Morgan Lewis & Bockius.
