ARA Law has expanded its M&A team with the hire of a new partner.
Priyesh Sharma rejoins the firm as co-head of the firm’s M&A team. He arrives from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM), where he served as a senior associate.
Managing partner Rajesh Begur remarked: “the M&A sector in India presents a major growth opportunity for the firm given the various legal and regulatory changes that have evolved in the last 2-3 years...[the] appointment of Priyesh as co-head for [our] mergers and acquisitions practice is a reflection of our focus to expand this practice area.”
Sharma comes on board with more than eight years' experience and specialises in M&A, private equity and venture capital related matters. Sharma first joined ARA in 2016 from AZB & Partners and left for CAM two years later.
