Reiko Yoshida

Reiko Yoshida is admitted in Japan and is the first Japanese lawyer admitted in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. She advises on finance and shipping, leading multi‑jurisdictional vessel financings and delivering seamless support as both lead and local counsel. She is experienced in first‑of‑their‑kind cross‑border structures, including ship investment fund platforms and other asset‑backed and fund‑based arrangements. Working closely with top‑tier local counsel, she coordinates corporate, limited liability company, and limited partnership law issues across jurisdictions and oversees vessel and entity registrations and filings to achieve bankable closings.

Her practice covers the transaction lifecycle from strategy and structuring to documentation and regulatory analysis. She conducts multi‑jurisdictional regulatory reviews, aligns advice with commercial objectives, and prepares core documentation, including facility agreements, security packages, intercreditor arrangements, fund documentation, charters, and other commercial contracts.

She maintains a compliance culture and provides targeted guidance on regulatory compliance, licensing and risk allocation. She also navigates flag‑state issues, cross‑border collateral, and maritime enforcement. Clients rely on her to deliver clear, bankable structures and concise, actionable advice across the global shipping and finance markets.
