Nazar Chernyavsky has been with Sayenko Kharenko for over 20 years. He combines his unique experience in finance and capital markets with a deep understanding of the technology sector, telecom and cybersecurity. Mr Chernyavsky has extensive experience in handling the most complex financing projects in the Ukrainian market, including the first securitisations in Ukraine, Rule 144A share offerings, Tier II Eurobond offerings, UAH-linked LPN issues, etc. In addition, he has the reputation of one of the top IT lawyers in Ukraine, advising investors and start-ups on various aspects of their operations – setting up development offices in Ukraine and introducing employee share plans, acquiring IT businesses and IP assets, raising money through debt or equity, structuring cross-border payments and taxes, etc.

Another important aspect of Nazar’s expertise is development projects, where he leads the work of Sayenko Kharenko’s team under the mandate of international donors in Ukraine, including EBRD, European Commission, UNDP, USAID, World Bank, aimed at improving Ukrainian legislation in critical areas, such as banking and finance, energy, public procurement, securities, etc.

As part of his social responsibility, Mr Chernyavsky has been a member of the International Bar Association Task Force, which developed the Cybersecurity Guidelines for the legal industry globally and keeps working on the international legal standards for cybersecurity applicable to all businesses.
