Ana da Ponte Lopes has led the Compliance, Regulatory and ESG practice since February 2023.
She brings more than seven years of experience in prudential supervision at the Banco de Portugal (2015–2023), where she served as Functional Coordinator of the Compliance and Corporate Governance Unit between 2018 and 2023. Prior to this role, she held positions at Teixeira Duarte Group and Garrigues.
Ana has extensive experience in corporate governance, internal control systems and fit and proper assessments, combined with a deep understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to the banking and financial sectors.
At Costa Pinto, Ana leads a dedicated team advising clients on corporate governance, regulatory, compliance and ESG matters, both in transactional contexts and through ongoing advisory and monitoring of regulated entities’ day-to-day activities.
Ana is currently part of the CSO Circle of BCSD – Business Council for Sustainable Development and represents Costa Pinto as a stakeholder of the Gender, Work and Power Observatory at ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management.
She is also a member of the Board of Directors of OPCR – the Portuguese Compliance and Regulatory Observatory.
