Tirso heads MdME’s finance and real estate practices as well as MdME’s foreign law firm in Hong Kong. He advises on a wide range of complex projects and cross-border transactions. He works actively with both foreign and local corporate clients seeking new business opportunities across various sectors.

In his Banking & Finance practice, Tirso has acted for financial institutions and large corporations in numerous finance transactions in Asia, advising on syndicated lending, corporate loans, real estate development financing and project finance, general loan and security documentation. Tirso is well experienced in acting as legal counsel for issuers, arrangers and dealers in different types of debt finance transactions such as issuance of bonds and notes. He also advises on a daily basis major banking institutions in both finance and regulatory aspects.

He has also a special focus and experience in aircraft finance, acquisition and leasing, acting for owners, banks, lessors, manufacturers and ECAs across a whole spectrum of finance deals and assisting clients in the relationship with regulatory agencies.

Tirso is the head of the Real Estate practice. He is well experienced in all stages of the real estate investment project including acquisition, financing, pre-sale and leasing. He regularly advises on acquisition for investment or redevelopment and real estate finance projects (commercial, logistic, residential and hotel business).

Tirso has acquired particular experience in major real estate projects and has been very active in the major acquisition and re-development of iconic properties in Macau, acting for institutional investors, developers and Private Equity Funds.
