Ruby Asturias is Principal Partner at EY Law. She specializes in M&A, Infrastructure and Finance, Corporate and Commercial Law.   With more than 21 years of experience, providing legal advice, she has acquired an ample knowledge and cultural understanding of the regional climate and how business is done within the Central American region; with emphasis in multi-national investments and infrastructure projects.

  • Project Private Toll Highway, and consists of: A legal technical analysis of the options currently allowed by Guatemalan laws to structure the business. The analysis of each option will include: Identifying stakeholders, Identifying all government procedures, licenses and permits required to attain this figure; Risk analysis (legal and other related risks), Supported legal opinion with the related considerations and recommendations. 
  • Project Zede: Ruby Asturias is the Advisor who lead the project, collaborated with affiliates of the client in a Study to assess Feasibility and Commercial Due Diligence. This study determined the possibility of developing several potential projects for each of the geographical areas where the two ZEDE’s approved by the Honduras Government will be located. In addition, the project's procurement and contracting system has been structured.
  • Cable Car Guatemala and Mixco: Concession for the implementation of a system of public transportation by air cable tyoe cable car in the municipalities of Guatemala and Mixco. Ruby worked as an advisor for the presentation of the technical and financial offer of the Public Bid.
