Robert Katz

Robert Katz is a partner in Shearman & Sterling’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York. He represents clients in a broad range of M&A transactions—public and private, negotiated and unsolicited—including tender and exchange offers, leveraged buyouts, takeover defense strategies, joint ventures, divestitures and cross-border transactions.

Mr. Katz has been recognized as a recommended lawyer in private equity buyouts by Legal 500. He joined Shearman & Sterling in 2001 and was based in the firm’s London office from September 2002 through September 2004.
