Peter Hedegaard Madsen is an expert in company law, financial regulation and many other types of regulation of business. He has a right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court and is very experienced in advising businesses, investment funds, and public authorities on compliance and transactions. Peter often advises executive boards and boards of directors on legal matters of strategic importance, and he has also been responsible for several legal investigations in both the public and the private sector.

Peter provides advice to a large number of businesses on compliance, governance and on the specific regulation applying to the businesses. His clients include both big financial businesses, companies, foundations, publicly owned businesses and public authorities (the Danish State, regional and municipal authorities).

  • Advised the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark regarding a direct guarantee from the European Investment Bank worth DKK 1.4 billion.
  • Advised the Danish Ministry of Finance regarding the financing and capital structure of an investment vehicle with an estimated investment capacity of DKK 16 billion.
  • Represented the Danish Financial Service Authority in the class action regarding the bankruptcy of Amagerbanken A/S.
  • Advised ATP on the design and regulatory structure of the pension product “ATP Livslang Pension”.
