Jaime Alemán joined Alemán, Cordero, Galindo & Lee in 1985, as one of its founding partners. He served as Ambassador of Panama to the United States from 2009 until 2011. Before joining Alcogal, he served as Minister of Government and Justice (1988), as Special Advisor to the President of Panama (1984-1985), as Associate at Icaza, González-Ruiz & Alemán (1982-1984) and as Legal Advisor at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D. C. (1978-1981). He has also served in multiple Boards of Directors, including those of Banistmo, PKB Bank and Special Olympics, among many others.

He is the head of Alcogal’s Offshore Services department and one of Panama’s foremost lawyers in this practice area.
