Graduated magna cum laude from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Santo Domingo in 1996, she obtained a Master in Corporate Law and Economic Legislation from the same university in 1998. She also completed a Master in European Union Law at Universidad Carlos III, Madrid, Spain (2000) and postgraduate studies at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2000).
