Benjamin Leisinger studied law at the University of Basel, graduating in 2003 and receiving a doctorate in 2006. He joined Homburger as an associate in 2008. In 2012, he graduated with an LLM from the University of Chicago. Prior to joining Homburger again in 2013, he worked as a foreign associate in a leading international law firm in New York. He is a partner in Homburger's Banking and Finance and Capital Markets teams since 2018.

  • Advised Amun/21Shares as lead partner in the world first issuance and listing of crypto-backed exchange traded products

  • Advised Credit Suisse in the structuring and issuance of Contingent Convertible (CoCo) and Contingent Write-Down instruments as well as TLAC-eligible senior bail-in bonds and capital increases
  • Advised Credit Suisse as lead partner in its CHF 4 billion total capital increases in 2022 to further strengthen the capital base and support its strategic transformation
