Arturo Gerbaud joined Alemán, Cordero, Galindo & Lee as an associate in 1990 becoming partner in 1992. He heads the firm’s Banking & Finance and Capital Markets groups. • Acted as Panamanian counsel to BNP Paribas as Lender to Canacol Energy Limited in a US$200 million Term Loan Credit Agreement;

• Acted as local counsel to Grupo Financiero Ficohsa to obtain the regulatory approval from the Superintendence of Banks of Panama, for the acquisition of Banco Citibank de Nicaragua, S.A. and Citi tarjetas de Nicaragua, S.A., an operation of US$255m in assets.
