Alexander Coto

Alexander is a senior associate at Consortium Legal – Costa Rica. He has more than 17 years of experience that focuses on Corporate Law and Real Estate. He also has experience and specializes in legal consulting in Business Law, Due Diligences, Merges and Acquisitions, Private Funding Operations, Trust Services, Banking and Finances. He has offered legal and notarial services to both state- and privately-owned banks, local and foreign corporate clients, in real estate, among other areas.

• He serves as legal counsel for significant corporate clients such as Scotiabank de Costa Rica S.A., Banco Davivienda (Costa Rica) S.A., Republic Bank Limited, First Citizens Bank Limited, Urbanizadora La Laguna S.A., Productos Lubricantes (Prolusa), Paradise Ingredients S.A. (Former Gerber Ingredients), Cinépolis, TC Heartland de Costa Rica (Splenda), Viax Dental (NovoSmile), among others.
• Advice, management and execution of a due diligence process for the investment and acquisition of an equity interest in a national fintech company, as well as the materialization of such equity acquisition.
• Advising and execution of the bank contracting corresponding to the financing granted to an important real estate investment group of first category assets, as well as the management of the acquisition of the real estate properties subject to the guarantee of such financing.
• Advising and execution of the bank contracting related to several financings for hotel investment in Costa Rica.
• Advice and management of bank financing processes in favor of important real estate investment funds in Costa Rica.
