Al Busaidy Mansoor Jamal & Co

Al Busaidy Mansoor Jamal & Co was established over 40 years ago in 1979. Highlights  

Al Busaidy Mansoor Jamal & Co advised Bank Nizwa on the acquisition of five vessels by the Sinbad Group though its SPVs. The five vessels were financed through four separate bilateral facilities granted to the two SPVs. The team was led by Marcus Pery and the transaction closed at various points in November 2024, December 2024, and February 2025.  

The firm’s projects and banking teams are also advising on the development of a polysilicon production facility to be established in the Sohar Freezone with a production capacity of 100 kilo tonnes per annum (KPTA) of high-purity silicon substrate. The projects team is advising the developer on all aspects of Omani law, including foreign investment laws, free zone regulations, corporate structure, and land laws. The banking team acted as legal advisors to United Solar Polysilicon (FZC) as borrower in relation to a bridge loan facility from Bank Dhofar and a term facility from Bank Dhofar and Future Fund Oman for the construction and development of the facility. The financing part of the transaction closed in August 2024 and November 2024.
