Highlights
WH Partners advised GBO on its acquisition of SKS365 Malta Holding Limited, the group which operates one of the largest sports-betting retail networks in Italy. The firm’s role included due diligence on the Maltese entities part of the group as well as advising on key transaction documents, Maltese competition law, and the regulatory strategy to be adopted on pre and post completion. The deal was completed in April 2024.
The firm also acted for Weavr (Europe) on its application to act as an electronic money institution under the Financial Institutions Act. The firm has the lead role on its application with the Malta Financial Services Authority, and the license was granted in July 2024.
