Research period review: 30th edition (2019/2020)
During the research period the banking and finance team advised investor consortiums on large public offer financings, including Amer Sports. It also saw real estate portfolio refinancing mandates, aiding lenders, including senior and mezzanine financing, and acquisition and green financing deals.
In capital markets work the firm advised issuers on initial public offerings and listings on Nasdaq Helsinki. In debt, the firm also acted for issuers in bond issuances and securitisation of receivables.
On the M&A market the firm recently cemented its hold on its significant market share, with leading deals in cash tender and public tender offers, large acquisitions, company mergers and fund mandates, with key deals in equipment rental, technology and manufacturing. The team worked on the side of investors, listed companies, private equity clients and lenders.
In project work the firm saw a focus on natural gas in the research period, advising on the Baltic Pipe, Balticconnector pipeline and a gas exchange. However, it also worked in the wind power and mining sectors.
A staffing change saw Gunnar Westerlund, a banking and finance partner, retire from the firm during the research period.
