In banking the firm was active for both borrowers and lenders on several of the country’s large projects, acquisition, corporate and asset financing and refinancing mandates, but also worked across the full spectrum of lending work. The firm continued to demonstrate its strong
expertise in Islamic finance during the research period.
In capital markets the firm was involved in IPO work, as well as a plethora of issuances of Islamic and conventional debt instruments.
The firm’s M&A team acted on the buy and sell side of several impactful acquisitions,
predominantly asset, real
estate and private acquisitions. The team also advised on
mergers,
divestitures and joint ventures.
The firm was also active in the country’s restructuring and insolvency space where it typically represented distressed and transforming businesses.
