Swedbank acquisition of Danske Bank Latvian and Lithuanian retail businesses

Overview:

• Swedish bank Swedbank completed the acquisition of the Latvian and Lithuanian retail banking services of Denmark-based Danske Bank.
• The value of the transaction was not disclosed, but it was announced it would affect around 120,000 private customers in Lithuania with a total loan portfolio of approximately €525 million and 7,000 in Latvia, where the portfolio is approximately €116 million.
