Sweden-based Resurs Bank - controlled by private equity funds advised by Nordic Capital - acquired Norway-based yA Bank in a NKr1.58 billion deal.
The deal applied an non-traditional structure for the acquisition of an Norwegian OTC-listed company as it was structured as an asset sale of its subsidiaries with a subsequent liquidation of the seller, rather than a public takeover offer for the seller.
Resurs financed the deal with existing funds and new shares.
