Overview:

  • A joint venture made up of Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings (CKI) and Power Assets Holdings (PAH) completed the acquisition of Portuguese wind-farm developer Iberwind Group in a deal worth around €288 million. 
  • The joint venture is controlled by Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-Shing. 
  • Iberwind was controlled by Spanish-Portuguese venture capital firm Magnum Capital Industrial Partners
  • As a holding company of 27 companies and 31 separate wind farms Iberwind held a total of 684MW of output capacity, as well as a further 42MW in development.
