Overview:

  • The Sociedad Concesionaria Autovía de la Plata has successfully refinanced its existing project finance debt facilities for the A-66 project in Spain.
  • The offering was of €184.5 million in project bonds with maturity of 25.5 years and a 3.169% coupon to refinance a 49km stretch of the A-66 motorway northwest of Madrid.
  • HSBC, BBVA and Banco Santander acted as joint bookrunners and BNP Paribas Trust Corporation UK acted as the bond trustee. BBVA acted as payment agent and Intermoney Valores is the registered adviser in MARF for this issue, which is geared to qualified investors specialising in infrastructure investments.
  • The section of 49km of the A-66 between Benavente and Zamora will complete the connection between Gijon and Seville known as the Silver Route.
