Overview:

  • Aegon Poland, a pension fund and insurance group, has acquired the Nordea Polish Open-ended Pension Fund from Nordea Group.
  • Prior to the transaction, Aegon had assets under management of  Zl5.9 billion. With the acquisition, Aegon will have assets worth Zl12.4 billion.
  • It is said that this transaction will make Aegon the fourth largest pension fund in the country. 
  • In June 2013, Nordea sold Polish assets (Nordea Bank Polska, Nordea Finance Polska and Nordea TUnŻ) to PKO Bank Polski.
