Overview:

  • Deutsche Telekom has acquired the remaining 49% stake it did not already own in Slovak Telecom for €900 million from the National Property Fund of the Slovak Republic.
  • Slovak Telecom was already a Deutsch Telekom subsidiary.
  • Morgan Stanley acted as financial adviser to the acquirer.
  • Before the acquisition went ahead Slovak Telecom had attempted a dual-listed IPO on the LSE and Bratislava Stock Exchange. Allen & Overy acted as issuer counsel on the deal with White & Case advising the underwriters.
