SCOR Atlas Capital Reinsurance 2020 DAC $200 million catastrophe bond issue

• French reinsurance firm SCOR has sponsored Atlas Capital Reinsurance 2020 DAC, a new catastrophe bond that has a multi-risk transfer capacity of $200 million to protect it against earthquakes in the US and Canada.
• Atlas Capital Reinsurance 2020 DAC was set up as a special purpose insurer and issuer.
• GC Securities acted as sole structuring agent and bookrunner.
• This is the first index-trigger catastrophe bond approved in Ireland under the EU Solvency II directive.
