Overview:

  • Chinese multinational conglomerate Alibaba Group Holding has made a global offering and secondary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE).
  • The HKSE offering raising $11.2 billion is the world's largest public offering this year to date. 
  • The listing is also the first ever public retail offering in Hong Kong to fully utilise an electronic application process, and is the first ever secondary listing of qualified companies under chapter 19c of Hong Kong's listing rules.
