The Boston Beer Company $300 million acquisition of Dogfish Head Brewery

Overview:

• Sam Adams brewer The Boston Beer Company has acquired craft beer brewer Dogfish Head Brewery in a $300 million deal. 
• The combined company will maintain its Brewers Association status as an independent craft brewery. 
• Private equity firm LNK Partners had owned a minority stake in Dogfish Head before the sale. 
• The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2019.
