Overview:

  • Adobe Systems, the American software company, has acquired cloud platform Marketo from private equity firm Vista Equity Partners Management in a $4.75 billion deal. 
  • Founded in 2006, Marketo was taken private by Vista, which acquired it for $1.8 billion, in 2016.
  • JP Morgan acted as the financial advisor for Adobe, while Morgan Stanley advised Marketo.
  • The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2018.
