Overview:

  • Republic of Senegal issued a multi-currency bond in two tranches, collectively raising around $2.2 billion.  
  • The bond issue comprised a $1 billion 6.75% notes maturing 2048 and €1 billion 4.75% notes maturing 2028.
  • The notes will be listed on the Irish Stock Exchange. 
  • Proceeds from the bond issue will be used to repay some of the countries outstanding liabilities and to finance public projects.  
  • BNP Paribas, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, Societe Generale, Natixis, and Standard Chartered Bank were bookrunners on the bond issue.
