Overview:

  • Aker Energy has reached an agreement to acquire a stake in a oil and gas concession in Ghana from the Hess Corporation for $100 million.
  • The agreement relates to a 50% participating interest in Deepwater Tano Cape Three Points block. 
  • The block currently produces 550 million barrels of oil daily but has the potential to increase capacity by a further 400 million.
